Dear WalkBikers,

Thanks to those of who have participated in our Pedestrian Master Plan project, and for helping to make Frankfort a healthier and more enjoyable community!  We gathered input from 279 participants around town, and are getting a clear idea of where Frankfort residents want new sidewalks.

Your feedback identified dozens of streets that weren't included in our initial survey.  Of those routes, five in particular were recommended by significant numbers of you.  We need to complete walkability audits of those five routes before we can move forward with the planning process.

Can you find time this week to walk one of these routes and fill out a short audit of the routes' walkability?  All you have to do is click the link below to sign up for one of the routes, walk it, and fill out the short survey.

Route Sign-Up

If a street that you advocated isn't on this list, you are more than welcome to perform an audit of that street as well!

All audits can be submitted to Debbie Bell at the Franklin County Health Department (851 East-West Connector, by MLK Blvd) or at debbiey.bell@ky.gov.  Please submit your completed audits by next Monday (June 2nd).

Also, we'll be drawing randomly selecting two survey participants later this month to receive gift certificates to Cool Comforts Shoes, so stay tuned!

Thanks,
Sellus Wilder
