WalkBike Frankfort General Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 10:00a.m. in the new Fokbike reCyclery shop on Lewis Street (between Main and Broadway by Capital Cellars). Come and hear about exciting trail progress and planned openings. Can you envision a safe, scenic walk and bike route from Liberty Hall to Indian Hills subdivision? Immediately following the WalkBike meeting, the City of Frankfort will hold an Open Forum Meeting. The specific purpose of the forum is to discuss the Cove Spring Connectivity Grant Application for Recreational Trails Program Funding and encourage public participation. This grant is sponsored by the City of Frankfort's Park, Recreation and Historic Sites Department and will help in the development of trails in our city.
WalkBike Frankfort 2012 Memberships are available for only $5. Become part of the group who has been working on getting safe, scenic walking and biking routes around Frankfort. One plan that is coming closer to completion is a trail from Liberty Hall downtown to Schenkel Lane by Indian Hills.
