Exploring Possibility of Reestablishing Club Rides in Frankfort

posted Mar 7, 2014, 4:15 AM by WalkBike Frankfort   [ updated Mar 8, 2014, 5:56 AM by Nathan Rome ]
Attention Frankfort Cyclists!

A few of our WalkBike board members are considering the possibility of becoming ride leaders with Bluegrass Cycling Club (BCC) in an effort to have club rides offered again in Frankfort.

1) Who would be interested in participating in BCC rides, if they were offered in Frankfort?
2) Who would be interested in attending a free BCC training on 4/6, in order to become a ride leader? (Going through the training doesn't obligate you to lead rides. See http://bit.ly/1lCscW9 for more info.)

FYI, you would need to become a member of BCC, but the first year is free and it's only $20 annually thereafter. (Visithttp://bit.ly/1g3q0mM for more info.)

If you are interested in either participating in or leading BCC club rides in Frankfort, please contact WalkBike Secretary Nathan Rome, who is compiling a list.  Assuming there is enough interest, we will move forward with bringing BCC rides back to the capitol city.  A big thank you to BCC board member, Pam Thomas, who has tentatively agreed to serve as the mentor ride leader to help get us going.

**UPDATE on 3/8/2014**
We're happy to report that we had a great response and are moving forward with the process of bring BCC rides back to Frankfort!

If you expressed interest in the possibility of becoming a ride leader, please register for the training by following this link:  http://bit.ly/1lCscW9.

If you are interested in having your name added to the list of people interested in participating in the rides, please do so via the link below:

Thanks so much for supporting this exciting development for Frankfort cyclists!
